My long weekend in Edinburgh went by far too fast for my liking, which always seems to be the case with exploring new places with good company, good food and (mostly) good weather. I’d heard great things about Edinburgh whilst we were planning this trip, a great deal about the shopping and nightlife, which did not disappoint, but also about the great range of heritage tours, sites and beautiful buildings. I won’t babble on, though I’ll leave you with some of the photographs I captured whilst I was north of the border and a very strong recommendation to give Edinburgh a visit if you can, a wonderful balance of old and new, a big city without the crowds and if you can handle the Scottish weather (famously unpredictable) a beautiful landscape perfect for some much needed fresh air and outdoor time.

Have you ever spent time in Edinburgh?
