Okay, so you probably knew my name. But what else do you know? Probably not a lot – let’s change that! It’s too easy to just carry on creating and sharing content, I want this space to be more than that – so I’m re-introducing myself, this blog and what it’s all about.
Who Am I?
My name is Becky. I’m 20 years old. I’m technically unemployed but in the process of launching my own online business (more on this soon – Yano, if all goes to plan).
For nearly the last year I’ve been in a relationship with my favourite person in the world – Jonathan – and it is everything I could want and better than I could have ever imagined.
My two closest friends (I’ll be honest they’re two of few) are excelling at University whilst I live at home, with my parents and brother, for the foreseeable future (kinda boo – but that’s a whole other post). I love Pusheen the cat (almost too much). I spend far too much money on ASOS; I’m 5’ 9” tall and wear a UK Size 18 (yeah I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that but here’s to the journey of self-love and acceptance).
I’m telling you this because I realised that the years I’ve been blogging, I’ve been quite anonymous – but that’s going to change. So that’s me, in brief (not briefs, which I’m glad I caught in the proofread…). What’s next?
BKY (BKY Rouncefield – this blog) is a place for anyone (and probably everyone) finding their footing and their place in the world.
I don’t know about you, but I think being 20 and forging your path in the world is hard – really hard actually. Even if you’re 18, 25 or 35!
BKY is going to be a place for you to take time out if you want it, practice self-care, discover new things to do and try, decide what to wear for a wedding reception and live the life you want to live – and live it beautifully.
Side note: I know that my blog is called BKY ROUNCEFIELD, but I will continue to refer to it as BKY. BKY.com is a domain name that costs thousands, so please forgive me and my long name – thanks in advance.
Whether you’re focusing on your career, starting your own business, or putting all your spare energy into meeting that special someone – I can guarantee that there’s something here for you. With an abundance of wellbeing articles, tips and tricks for social media to relatable struggles documented – making you feel better about not being able to save a penny (if you can and you have some tips… spill).
