Another month gone, another truckload of products tried and tested, another basket of favourites that have had me genuinely excited when I catch myself reaching for them. After starting the year with what could only be described as a skin nightmare, it is finally getting to a happy place (touch wood), which is probably thanks to this fresh spring air, blossoming flowers, and those (although still fairly sparse) sun rays.
LUSH The Brightside Bubble Bar // This is quite literally spring in a… bubble bath I guess. The scent of this the new season in citrus, the punchiest smell in the world (the world otherwise known as the LUSH shops…).
Bare Minerals Original Foundation // After a hoard of well-known beauty bloggers started reviewing (and raving…) about the Bare Minerals range a month or so ago, I thought it’d be best (que empty justification for shopping) if I picked it up for myself. I’m in the process of doing a full review of this right now; to sum it up though, it gives me fairly medium coverage, doesn’t irritate my skin at all, and lasts a good 4 hours before a touch up is welcomed. They have a great range of shades too, I found my colour match a breeze!
No7 Extreme Length Extend Mascara // This mascara is definitely on it’s last legs, it’s been going strong for months now, and although it hasn’t dried up at all, it’s only now starting to become a little less long-wearing. The brush is the big winner for me here, it is narrow, with short plastic bristles evenly spaced across it. It grips, separates and defines the lashes, no clumps and looks very au naturale.
Indeed Labs: Hydraluron & Snoxin // There is undoubtedly an amazing amount of hype around these serums, and for a long time it didn’t catch up to me… Until 3 for 2 in Boots came around, where I spotted a mini trio of Hydraluron, Snoxin and Nanoblur, for a little over a tenner it just had to be done. I’ve been using Hydraluron under my daytime moisturizer, and Snoxin in the evenings. There’s definitely been a noticeable difference in the hydration, and plumpness of my skin since using these. In terms of doing-what-it-says-on-the-tin, it does. If not that, it’s at least worth trying all three for such a good price.
Real Techniques Buffing Brush // I’m definitely late jumping on the bandwagon with this one. Hearing quite literally every blog I read covet this rubbed off though (hello, blogger made me buy it tag). Better late than never though, because I think this brush has gone past hype, the buffing brush is now holy grail material across the blogoshpere. I for one, never want to be without it again.
The Body Shop Facial Massager // I’ll start of by saying this; I bought this less than a week ago. Yes. That is how good this is, I have felt the difference within a few days. It really gets product into your skin, especially deep cleansers and oils, without clogging it up (as long as you wash the products off well)… but that’s pretty common sense. If you feel your routine is lacking something and you’re not sure what, give this a go – it might be the thing missing from your dreams all along!
I love reading/watching monthly favourites – link yours in the comments and I’ll check it out!
