There are some days when – after looking disappointingly at your bank account – you just can’t afford to have a mini-splurge in Boots, or try to justify another trip into John Lewis’s beauty hall. Days like this call for The List; an actual piece of paper where you scribble down everything you would be throwing into your basket, in hope of more prosperous times. Here are my new additions:
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush // After seeing dozens of bloggers coveting these blushes, they really can’t come to the UK soon enough. Not only are they following the enormous hype of their sister ambient lighting powder, they look like the perfect blush/highlight mix (who doesn’t love a top notch two-in-one product?)
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder (diffused light) // I just mentioned the hype around this product, so I’m surprised I haven’t gone ahead and bit the bullet yet! I really need to get to a counter and check out all the shades first. Considering my pale skin tone, the softness and yellow tint of diffused light, apparently comparable to the soft ray of morning light, seems to fit the bill (sounds pretty flawless!)
Bumble and bumble pret-a-powder // Another highly wrote about product in the blogosphere this week. This dry shampoo/volumizer hybrid is definitely what my tresses are in need of on their second day.
Bumble and bumble Seaweed Shampoo // Unlike some lucky gals, my hair just isn’t capable of lasting more than a couple of days (well it could, but I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone). No matter how much dry shampoo I massage into those roots, it’s too stubborn not to lie flat and feel heavy. Described as a mild, everyday shampoo I’ve been hungry for this a while. After recently buying their Sunday shampoo (review coming soon!) I’m even more eager.
Lush Dream Steam Tabs // Reasonably priced, treatment skincare that can easily be added into any pamper sesh; yes please. Pop in a bowl and pour over a kettle of boiling water, grab a tea towel and absorb absorb absorb. Simple, easy, and a go-to for winter skin hydration. Enough said.
This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray // I don’t often struggle with sleeping, especially not the lying-in part. Saying that, there’s been more than a few occasions when I’ve been up until 2am, with my alarm set for 6am being quickly forgotten about. I’m hoping that this soothing scent will relax me enough to get my head down sooner, catching up on some (probably much needed) beauty sleep!
Real Techniques Duo Fiber brushes // Having only been interested by make-up for the last six months (and only having a part-time job) Real Techniques have been my rock. Not only do these lightweight brushes seem perfect for no make-up make-up days, apparently they’re perfect for the hourglass ambient lighting range (putting my faith in beauty bloggers has proven well before… here goes). Gimme, please.
Please tell me I’m not the only one with an ever-growing list of must have products, and whilst you’re at it, let me know what’s on yours!
