L-R MAYBELLINE COLOUR SENSATIONAL GLOSS IN CASHMERE ROSE / REVLON COLOURBURST LACQUER BALM IN DEMURE / BARRY M ELECTRA / REVLON 205 ELUSIVE / VASELINE ROSE /

I’ve never been crazier for a pink pout than now. In the past it always felt too Barbie, or too nude, or just not very flattering, but for some reason the stars have finally aligned, it’s finally working for me. I’ve found some brilliant link options for every occasion, whether that be painting the town red pink, or a lazy afternoon at the coffee shop;(nothing seems to go better with a pink pout than a vanilla latte, yum.)

‘No make-up’ make-up days have me constantly reaching for this Rose tinted Vaseline; although not a lot of people’s’ top pick for a lip balm, it works for me, moisturising, cheap, cheerful, sometimes all you need. For those days where being more presentable will get you further, a gloss is what does the trick. I’ve fallen for the blogger hype around the a Maybelline Colour Sensational Glosses, this one in Cashmere Rose. Although it wears off quickly (as you’d expect from any lightweight gloss) it doesn’t leave my lips feeling dry, but rather nourished. Something a little more glitzy comes in the form of a Revlon Colourburst Lacquer in 105 Demure; a light glossy pink shade that looks great with a smokey or heavily lined eye. In all honesty I wasn’t sold on this at first, I thought it was too pale and washed me out, but now I’m little more tanned (but not really) and am slowing mastering the cat-eye flick, it’s a lot more comfortable to wear. The second offering from Revlon is the bright, bold, matte versions of their lip crayons. A slightly muted bright dusty pink makes for the perfect your-lips-but-more-interesting-and-attractive colour; also know as my latest obsession as I’ve been finding myself very drawn to this colour lately, which would be great if only it wasn’t so drying on the lips. Sure, it’s good for the first application, but any touch ups require major work, as my lips tend to go flaky rather than take anymore colour well. The newest addition to the bunch would be this Barry M Gelly Hi-Sine Lip Crayon. An addition to the infamous Gelly Hi-Shine Nail paints, these really do perform as well as their sister product. Precise application, long lasting colour (and stain when the gloss does finally wear off), and (this might be weird) gorgeous smell! The shade Electra was a real impulse but for me, but I think it
is going to be the best pay off of my beauty gambling in a while!

Is a classic pink pout one of your faves right now? If not, let me know what is!
